Brides today don't tie the knot without visiting it first. THE KNOT (www.theknot.com ) is one of the world's premier resources for all things wedding, both in its online form and its gorgeous glossy magazine.
This month's mag will give browsing brides a colorful taste of Clifton, thanks to a photo by outstanding Charlottesville photographer and longtime Clifton friend and colleague Jen Fariello. At a recent Clifton wedding, Jen captured a thirst-quenching shot of our Lavender Lemonade for a full page devoted to all variety of wedding related purple paraphernalia. Lavender Lemonade is a signature Clifton cocktail offered only at weddings. Our Executive Chef Dean Maupin reports that the idea for the drink was hatched due to the abundance of the fragrant herb growing on the property. The drink starts with lavender simple syrup which is then combined with lemon juice to create a unique, pretty, and totally delicious drink.
